Meta-Phenylenediamine (MPDA) is primarily utilized as a raw material for aramid fibers. Chematur’s MPDA technology employs di-nitrobenzene (DNB) as the raw material, resulting in a product spectrum consisting of 86% MPDA, 12% OPDA, and 2% PPDA. The technology enables Chematur to achieve a purity level of 99.8% for MPDA. While higher purities are possible, they come with increased investment and/or utility costs. Currently, Chematur’s MPDA technology is designed to strike the optimal balance between low investment costs and low operating costs, offering the best possible cost-efficiency.
